Generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) is a mental health condition that causes people to feel excessive and persistent worry about everyday things:
People with GAD may experience:
- Physical symptoms like pain, fatigue, shortness of breath, headaches, muscle aches, stomachaches, or unexplained pains
- Difficulty controlling their worries
 - Irritability or feeling "on edge"
 - Sweating a lot, feeling lightheaded, or feeling out of breath
 - Difficulty concentrating
 - Restlessness when awake
 - Muscle tension
 - Upset stomach
 - Difficulty sleeping
 - Being easily startled
